Like any Piscean by bringing sensitivity and sympathy to a problem it can also scatter energy in a situation with idealistic, vague Reponses lending itself to escaping responsibility by lack of action.
When the Hanged One appears in our reading its upright or reversed position depending on the Quarents own nature can sit well and be looked at with light or darkness either way.
Upright we are in a period of short and present stagnation or stillness contemplating what has brought us to the great quandary we seem to be facing. Seeing the situation as it truly is and then accepting the element of sacrifice that needs to be made or realized in order to move onto freedom and new beginnings.
By accepting sometimes painful endings or at the very least significant change coming we open ourselves to the spiritual growth necessary to allow tolerance and acceptance of others ideas and actions in our world.
By being more accepting of others we also learn to forgive and accept ourselves. Our world is no longer all about us but instead we find our greatest joy in helping others.
When reversed the Hanged One shows us while standing on one foot he is still very much stuck in the past of the situation or problem. He vacillates between sticking with his old image and approach rather than what the issue has really already become. He remains resistant to spiritual lessons or ideas that will help him realize his full potential. The reality is “you can’t go back” and when reversed the Hanged One shows just slow progress to events and outcomes that are inevitable.
